The first time I did the Whole 30, I really craved a good old-fashioned BLT! That said, like most of my recipes, I took to the drawing board to come up with a copy cat that didn’t go against the Whole 30, but still satisfied that craving. That was the beginning of me creating my Whole 30 Chicken BLT Salad recipe, which is super easy, quick and fun!
A BLT is most definitely a classic and in my opinion, it is because of all those classic ingredients wrapped up into one delicious sandwich. Making it Whole 30 approved really is not that hard; all you need to make sure of is that you have clean ingredients.
From making sure you purchase an approved bacon, to seasoning the chicken with yummy but clean ingredients, you can ensure that you are enjoying that classic BLT without feeling guilty!

How to make the Whole 30 Chicken BLT Salad?
We highly recommend preparing all of your ingredients prior to putting the salad together, as it makes it easier to construct and serve to yourself, guests or your family.
Step 1
Cube the chicken and season with salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. You really can season the chicken any way you want to, this is just my personal favorite combination. Once the chicken is seasoned and cubed, add to a frying pan and fry with approved oil or ghee.
Step 2
While the chicken is cooking, start frying up the bacon. Depending on how many people I am serving, I might just do a couple strips or the entire packet; you make the call!
Step 3
Once your chicken and bacon is cooked thoroughly, start preparing the lettuce, tomatoes and avocado. If I am preparing a serving platter for a bunch of people, I will keep the romaine lettuce full for a wedge salad feel and allow my guests to pick and choose what they want to put on their plate.
Step 4
Once everything is chopped and prepared, you now are ready to construct the salad. Once the salad is put together to your liking, drizzle on the Whole 30 approved ranch and serve.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Whole30
What is the Whole 30?
The Whole30 is a 30-day lifestyle reset that stresses the importance of whole foods, while eliminating sugar, wheat, grains, legumes, soy, dairy and alcohol.
Is the Whole30 hard?
Anything new to our daily routine can be challenging and the Whole30 is no different. I chose the Whole30 as a way to help my Hashimoto’s Disease and find out which foods are a trigger for my autoimmune disease; committing to those 30-days were tough, but I kept telling myself that everyday was one step closer to finding my triggers.
