Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Pasta Dinner

Sharing is caring!

IMG_0374If you do not know this about me already, I am in love with Trader Joe’s! I love the store, the food, the packaging, the flowers… heck I even enjoy collecting the reusable bags! I am a very loyal patron to Trader Joe’s and since I have one in walking distance from our town home, you will probably see many posts about this heavenly establishment. This morning, when my Husband and I were buying flowers in the store, I happened to come across their pumpkin store display, which is basically everything they sell in the store, with a pumpkin fall twist on it. Pumpkin cookies, pumpkin waffles, pumpkin cookie butter, pumpkin sauce, pumpkin chips… am I sounding too much like Bubba from Forest Gump? Sorry.. but,…“anyway, like I was sayin’ shrimp is the fruit of the Sea!”bubba-shrimp-quote-forrest-gump-shrimps-youtube-inspirational-love-quotes

I decided to join the Pumpkin Gang and make an all Trader Joe’s Pumpkin meal for dinner. I went ahead and decided to make the Trader Joe’s Fall Zucchette Pasta with the Autumal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce. My Husband then snuck in his favorite Trader Giotto’s Garlic and Cheese Bread Sticks and Parmesan Cheese.

We followed the recipe on the back of the pasta packaging to the tee and added the Parmesan cheese to the sauce to make it cheesy! Ain’t nothing wrong with making your life a little bit more cheesy!

Trader Joe’s Recipe:

  • Bring 4 to 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste.
  • Add pasta, stir gently.
  • Return to boil and boil uncovered; stir occasionally for 7 to 9 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Drain well and serve as desired.

Our Review: Trader Joe’s never lets me down. This dinner was delicious! I thought the pasta was actually going to taste more like spaghetti squash pasta, which I wasn’t looking forward to, but it didn’t. It was savory, creamy and if “fall” had a taste, I would assume this pasta would be on the list! Of course, adding the cheese, and dipping our breadsticks into the sauce was something we added, but was the perfect addition to the meal. I would give this Trader Joe’s dinner a two thumbs up and I plan on making it again before their fall collection runs out!
