How to serve Sweet Potato Fries?

Sweet potato fries can be served in a variety of ways. I suggest serving them with Ranch sauce, a perfect crowd-pleaser. You can also serve with bacon bits (McCormick’s “bac’n”) or homemade vegan cheese sauce.

Dress up your sweet potato fries with your favorite toppings or serve with your favorite dipping sauce. I think these homemade sweet potato fries would be great served with vegan mayonnaise. Or, serve with your favorite Ranch dressing, vegan lemon tahini dressing, or no-honey mustard sauce.

How to make Sweet Potato Fries extra crispy?

There are many ways to make them crispy:

  • It is crucial to preheat your oven before putting fries in it for a crispy exterior.
  • The secret to crisp-tender sweet potato fries is to soak the sweet potatoes in hot water for an hour before baking. It allows the sweet potato to soak up some water and results in a crispier fry.

What are the best potatoes for Sweet Potato Fries?

Sweet potatoes are a delicious alternative to regular potatoes. Sweet potatoes have a soft, creamy texture with a flavor similar to yams. Some of the best potatoes for sweet potato fries are Idaho, Russet, and Burbank. These potato varieties should be firm, with no soft spots, green spots, or blemishes. Look for pale potatoes, as they are very light in color and contain antioxidants.

Should I peel the potatoes before baking?

Yes, it would be best if you peel potatoes before baking. Peeling the potatoes can be a tedious and time-consuming process, but it’s essential to remove the skin in order to remove excess starch. Peeling the potatoes before baking would ensure that your potato chips will be crispy and not soggy.

Are Sweet Potatoes Healthy?

Sweet potatoes are packed with carbohydrates, vitamins A, C, B6, and iron. They are nutritious and a good source of potassium and dietary fiber. Sweet Potatoes are high in beta carotene, a type of carotene that our body converts into Vitamin A. Furthermore, they contain fiber and antioxidants, which are essential for gut health

They are suitable for your bones, too, as they contain a good amount of calcium. Sweet potatoes are ideal for your eyes; they are low in fat and rich in vitamin B6. They are low on the glycemic index, which will keep you full for a more extended period. They are an excellent substitute for high-calorie foods.
