Miramonte Winery’s Flower Hill Bistro – Temecula, CA

Sharing is caring!

A couple weeks ago, my Sister, Mom and I wanted to have a girls’ lunch together and decided to head into the Temecula Wine Country for the afternoon. Honestly, growing up in Temecula I have been to wine country loads of times but there are still a LOT of wineries that I have not experienced; Miramonte Winery being one of them. My Sister is actually a member of this winery and always raves about how delicious their wines are – specifically the Sangria. With that being said, we decided to go ahead and check out the restaurant at Miramonte, which is called The Flower Hill Bistro.

Miramonte Winery is close to the entrance of wine country and is located at the top of a small hill. If you look for a large hillside with a luscious garden veranda than you cannot miss it. After you park, your attention is immediately drawn to the dazzling view of Temecula Wine Country. Since you drive up the hill, you don’t really realize how high you go and it truly is one of the best views; greater still, the restaurant puts you front row and center of this view.

Since we had my 19-month-old Son with us, we entered the restaurant through the ramps on the left-hand side and headed towards the tasting room. Since my Sister is a member, she got us set up with her favorite Sangria and we picked a place to sit at the Flower Hill Bistro. My Sister absolutely loves her wine club membership at Miramonte and has been a member for a couple years now; her membership also gave us a discount on the lunch. If you are interested in becoming a wine club member at Miramonte Winery I have linked their wine club membership information here.

The menu for Flower Hill Bistro looked so delicious and it was honestly hard to choose from since everything looked so good. Since we wanted a lighter lunch all three of us (and my Son) decided to share two main dishes. We chose the Kale 360 salad, which is in their Greens sections of the menu and the Caprese Flatbread, which is obviously in their Flatbread section of the menu.

Kale 360

The Kale 360 salad is made up with baby kale, shaved brussels, candied pecans, Bin #360 soaked cranberries, blue cheese crumbles, fresh raspberries with sumac & raspberry vinaigrette. We also opted in to adding salmon to the salad, which was so tasty.

Caprese Flatbread

The Caprese Flatbread was made up of cherry tomatoes, balsamic drizzle, fresh basil, pesto and a four-cheese bread. All of their flatbreads start with organic blue cornmeal flatbread, San Marzano tomato sauce and marinated mozzarella, which is made daily! YUM! My Son LOVED this pizza and did NOT want to share! We definitely recommend it.

Overall, I highly recommend Miramonte Winery, specifically having lunch at the Flower Hill Bistro. I also did some research and found out that Miramonte actually offers a lot of entertainment and events at their winery. From live entertainment, to brunches and even tours you can learn more and check it out here.

When you choose Temecula Valley for your next vacation or “staycation” I highly suggest making Miramonte Winery, specifically The Flower Hill Bistro as one of your stops during your visit. Cheers!
